Jessica Hische is an amazing designer, illustrator and typographer…this is a letter from one of her current projects, The Daily Drop Cap.

Most of the letters I really enjoy; only a few strike me as so-so. This is a project that I would like to attempt myself, possibly over the Christmas holidays. Except instead of a dropcap online only, I would like to actually create a book (bound with one of the techniques I am learning this semester) that has letters created by many methods…ink, print, paper cuts, etc. One aspect of Jessica Hische’s project that I admire is that every letter is quite different…yet still has the same flavor of her style.
