This is the new logo designed for my church. Much input by many different people went into this thing… I think for the time put in, it is fairly successful..maybe not as fantastically original as I would have liked, but better than it could have been.

I’ve always been a fan of what my roommate calls ‘swirly twirls’…so this design is a kind of homage to that, and Marian Bantjes as well as Jessica Hische and Yulia Brodskaya. It still needs some work, and I have been experimenting with colors, but here it is. Suggestions appreciated.

I was poking around ffffound.com today, and discovered images posted from these two sites: typetheory.com and beastpieces.com (Studio On Fire). Great stuff! I have been wanting to redesign this tshirt from threadless.com for a while…I think the concept is hilarious, but I don’t like the design all that much. I’m not that great at drawing cartoons/caricatures…but other than just googling birds and bees, does anyone have any suggestions?

Over all I think it went rather well…the clear on clear didn’t fuse completely, but the smoke on smoke looks pretty good. Now, I just need to find a decent supply of float glass until I can afford expensive Bullseye glass…
