I’ve decided to try my hand at book sculptures…or folding pages of books to create different patterns/shapes. Somewhere along down the line might be experiments along the line of Brian Dettmer’s book autopsies, but for now, folding will suffice. I’ve been surprised at how much more difficult it is than it looks – at least, to get the pages evenly folded without marking out the measurements ahead of time. I have an idea of mounting several books together, to form a new shape. But it’s still theory and I need to practice first.

So, wait. The pages are still attached to the binding, and you’re just folding them? Wild!
