By popular request, the tiara pattern. Sorry this has taken so long, I’ve had a lot of personal stuff going on and I thought I had lost the pattern instructions and was going to have to recreate them from memory, but I found the paper today, yay! So here it is. A beginning bind, with only one small tricky part in the middle. Click on any photo to enlarge.

Thanks Becca. I enjoy reading all about your wonderful Japanese stab bindings. I do some bookbinding myself and plan on trying a few projects with a couple of your binding designs. Keep them coming.

Hello Becca, I’m so excited about the new tutorial, I wish I could come up with new stitches just like you. I’m a big fan of your work. I’ve been trying to get around to practicing some of your patterns but just haven’t been able to do it.
Keep up the amazing job. Greetings from Mexico.

I love all your patterns an so want to try this one.
But I cant get the pitures to enlarge by clicking on them and they are a bit to small as they are :/

Is it just my coputor that are stupid (meaning me) ?

Hi Catarina! That’s really odd…I’m not sure why double clicking on the images isn’t making them bigger. Try right clicking them, and then select ‘view image’…that should bring it up larger in a new tab.

Sorry to say but when I do that I only get the small pictures in a new tab. I have to try to figure it out some way :)

Becca ~ I am an amateur book binder. Friends asked me to teach a book to their embroidery group and I immediately thought of your website. I am going to walk them through a traditional stab binding and then your tiara method to show them something modern. I am not being paid. Would it be okay with you to print your tiara pattern and distribute it to those who want to learn it? I would credit your website in an obvious way especially because I would like them to see your fantastic designs and try more. Do you need more info from me? How do I contact you? Are you working on a book of your patterns? I hope you do someday so you can profit from your lovely work here. Sincerely, ~Dawn

Hey Dawn! Sure that would be fine, thanks for asking. I hope it goes well for you! No more work on the book yet, but I’ve been giving some thought to how I’d like to do it once I have time and capacity.

Thank-you! I am so grateful. I love your stab binding patterns and dream of having time to make a 5-6 inch book with the bindings I love the most. Just for admiration. I will send you a photo of the book made w/ cross stitch fabric for pages and a leather cover. I actually just completed it in the last hour. I just saw your email address on your templates and will send a photo there. Thanks again. ~dawn

Hi Becca! Thank you for sharing your work! I own a subscription box business and would love to feature a design or two of yours as a template. Would that be something you’d be okay with? If you have any questions, please let me know! 🙂
